Hello again!

Second half of 2023 was a huge mess for me IRL. Lot of things happened abruptly so I kinda just "disappeared". Now that most of it is finally sorted and I feel somewhat more refreshed from all that fatigue, I can finally get back and do some more art stuff.

Also a heads up, I'm re-opening commissions, if any is still interested in this old bag of bones. Oh, and I finally decided to open up a Twitter account, or X, whatever you wanna call the platform. There's not much in it yet, but hopefully it'll grow. That's all for now. Good to be back!

I know I said I was still trying to make sure my new payment alternative was working properly or not a few hours ago, before re-opening commissions. I was not expecting responses this fast. Thanks to SuperAndyeah for kindly donating a few bucks to help me determine if it's working. I've checked thoroughly and don't think there's a problem with it. Which is great, I can now solve that issue plaguing me back in late 2021-early 2022.

Anyways, DiD Commissions are OPEN again!

Are there any significant changes?

There are 2: One is pricing - you can check this out in the updated Da-Peakock's Commission Offers version, plus some more updated commissioned work previews attached to it. The other is probably the payment method. It's still PayPal, and it's still the same address. But there might be some differences which I am not sure about. This "change" is more for those who commissioned me before.

There is one other change I might consider down the line, which is adding "commission slots". Personally I don't really expect to be flooded by commission offers. I don't think I ever had the privilege to experience that. But it would be a good way to set it up so I can rest my fingers more frequently, if it is needed.

That's all I guess. Below is a guide on how to commission me. Prices, as mentioned earlier, are shown in - Da-Peakock's Commission Offers

TLDR: I have written a guide for "asking for a commission" and addressing the "changes" compared to my previous system.

TLDR: Simplified version of "steps for asking for a commission", but I still recommend you read the full details.

  1. Read COMMISSION Criteria and Preferences

  2. Choose your price from Da-Peakock's Commission Offers

  3. Note/Discord message me your idea

  4. You and I discuss about it and come to an agreement

  5. Agreement reached? I will ask you to pay through PayPal (friend/family option is highly recommended)

  6. Await patiently for final product

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Here are the "not-so-simplified" steps for asking for a commission:

  1. First and foremost, read COMMISSION Criteria and Preferences. I suggest you read the whole thing or you'll miss all the bits and details that could be important for you.

  2. Done reading? Still interested? Choose your base price from Da-Peakock's Commission Offers.

  3. Then note me your commission (or if you have Discord and prefer that platform, message me there - Da-peakock#5649). Within you idea pitch, there should be:

  • Name(s) and origin(s) (what anime, game? etc) of character(s)

  • Age of character(s) - I have written a section regarding "age" in the journal link for Step 1, so if you haven't read it, I once again recommend you to do so.

  • How the character(s) should be drawn. Being descriptive is not necessary. But do be clear about your general idea.

  • Reference images/links for your chosen character(s) and if necessary for you (or if I ask), the bondage poses you want the character(s) in.

  • Optional Step: If you'd like to see a sketch/preview beforehand, also inform me. In fact, I'll also ask about it if you missed this bullet-point.

  1. You, the commissioner and I, the artist, will discuss and negotiate about the idea and price. If your idea appears to be straightforward and completely falls in line to one of the "base prices", based on my humble opinion, then there's not much work needed for this Step.

  2. Once an agreement has been reached between us, you may begin your payment process.

  • Payment should be done before I start working on your idea.

  • Done through PayPal - only.

  • I shall provide you with my address privately.

  • Please note that you should take the "friend/family option" when sending the payment.

  1. I guess I should say, "wait patiently" for either the final product, or if you asked for it, the sketch preview (and then later the final product). Finally, I ask that you please don't drastically change your idea after you have already paid.

If you have any questions regarding the "steps" guidelines, feel free to ask me either in the comments below, or privately. Also, I have made a few "changes" concerning commissions, though not completely related to COMMISSION Criteria and Preferences. You can find out more about that in here

It's been more a year since I posted something. No, I'm not dead, yet. For those who haven't seen my recent piece a few hours ago, here it is below.

Hope you enjoy it!

So regarding my injury. As I alluded to before, the injury on my right ring and pinky finger will most likely be a permanent one. I have spent the past few years training myself to not use these fingers too much, including when I'm drawing and such.

The training's paid off. My injured fingers don't get as strained anymore. Last year in February, I might've overworked myself too much so it was best if I spent time to recover and retrain. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. Guess I was too excited being back and drawing after a previous hiatus.

So what's next after this? Well if I will be drawing more as time comes, so do expect that. And regarding commissions. Last year, I mentioned that my country (Thailand) was effectively making it impossible for freelance artists like myself to make a living using PayPal. While I did say they delayed the procedure last year, the procedure has now been put to full use and my usual means of receiving payment no longer work. My bank in Thailand is not exactly an internationally-known bank so using other online means is also very very very restrictive.

HOWEVER, I "might" have found an alternative to earn payment online. Surprisingly, that alternative is still PayPal. Yeah, it's confusing. Nowadays, making a PayPal account, you'd need a verification of identity with home addresses and such. Usually we all would have just one home location. For me however, I used to live in another country for a few years to study. And my identification and home address in that country appear to still be valid so creating an account was not an issue.

So that's one alternative, but I still have not been able to prove whether I can receive payment or not, and how effective it would be. I sadly couldn't get any volunteers haha. So until I get this fully solved, commissions will officially still be closed. Unofficially, well if any are willing to volunteer, it could be in a form of a commission, or in any other form.

That's all.

Have nice day!

TLDR: Merry Christmas (Eve)! Unfortunate news is that PayPal is about to be unusable in my country. I can't find any alternatives so will stop accepting commissions starting from 15th February 2022. Before then, commissions are still offered like normal.

Merry Christmas Eve and Happy Holidays to you all! I hope you're able to spend some good quality with family and friends, or just having a break from all the chaos 2021 has brought upon us.

It's quite unfortunate, but I do have some relatively bad news to share. Definitely already killing off the festive vibes, but it's better than not telling at all I guess.

So as the title says, PayPal's about to be rendered unusable to nearly every single person in my country, Thailand, by 18th February 2022. Why? To put it simply, back in November, my government issued a bill concerning taxing individuals relying on E-Commerce to generate income. This includes my Artwork Commissions as I'm receiving the income from this via PayPal.

So what does the Government's bill have to do with PayPal in Thailand? Well, PayPal first off decided to comply with the Government's new bill and decided to"reform", or you should I say, "degrade", their services in Thailand. Basically, starting from 18th February 2022, any individual with a personal Thai PayPal account will be unable to store currency in PayPal; unable to earn funds in PayPal; and unable to withdraw funds in PayPal into their linked bank accounts. You can have a look at the policies here - https://www.paypal.com/th/webapps/mpp/thailand-relaunch-faq?locale.x=en_TH - at point 11. Pretty much defeats the whole purpose of having a PayPal no?

Essentially, from February 2022, only business accounts owned by businesses accepted by the government can operate their PayPal accounts like normal, with a few setbacks but definitely not as drastic as personal account users like myself.

So what you might say, just make a business account. Well I can't, and most other Freelancers in Thailand can't either. To be able to open a business account, you need a business. Unfortunately, Da-peakock isn't exactly a business. Plus even if I could, there's tons of bureaucracy I'd have to go through which could probably take years.

So with PayPal in Thailand about to get ruined, for the past month I've been searching for PayPal alternatives that I can potentially use. The result I found, is none. I can't find any possible alternatives that will work from Thailand. Skrill was a potential option but there's a lot of problems when using it from Thailand.

As a result, I am now forced to cease accepting any commissions starting from 15th February 2022; a few days before the 18th to make sure all funds reach my bank account from PayPal before the changes are fully implemented.

Yeah it's definitely frustrating. I also just started a Subscribestar and Pixiv Fanbox page on November. But now I have to shut them down too due to this PayPal problem. I'm still gonna keep drawing despite my inability to accept commissions by February. I'll just pray that I'll be able to find a viable alternative to be able to reopen commissions in the future.

For now, my commission offers will still function the same, until 15th February 2022. So if you wish to commission me, now until February 15th is the time. I will be unable to accept any of your lovely ideas after that, until an alternative is found.

Not exactly joyous news, but it had to be said at least. Anyways enjoy the stuff I'll keep pumping out from here. And enjoy your holidays and the rest of this year!

I'm sure not everyone has noticed, but I have closed Commissions for about a few months or so. Won't really dive into details on that episode since it really doesn't matter as much now.

With things more or less cleared up on my end. COMMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN AGAIN.

If you haven't seen it, check out the "advertisement", it's got all the prices written up, along with some nice example pics in there.
